3 Sayville Teens Charged with Burglary

Three Sayville teenagers are under arrest and charged with burglarizing the Hot Bagels business on North Main St. in Sayville early Monday morning, according to Suffolk Police.

Police searched the area. Cassidy’s dog, Thor, was able to pick up a scent and led police to proceeds from the burglary, as well as a cash register, in a wooded area just west of the bagel shop, say police.

DWI and Leaving the Scene of an Accident in Suffolk County

A Suffolk County resident was recently arrested and charged with first offense DWI, first offense leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and operator leaving the scene of an accident with property damage charges. Reports state the man was involved in two separate accidents on the same day. Police said  the driver was driving southbound on Lake Avenue north of Route 25 when he collided with a 2012 Volkswagen, causing injury to a passenger in the vehicle he struck, and then left the scene of the accident without exchanging information. Police said the man then struck another vehicle on Route 25 east of Astor Avenue, also leaving the scene.

BABYLON MAN CHARGED WITH ILLEGAL WEAPONS AND DRUG POSESSION.

According to the Suffolk County Police Department, a home in Wyandanch Avenue in Suffolk County New York was entered and searched as part of an investigation into a Babylon Village resident. A Babylon man, was arrested  on nine counts of illegal weapons possession and drug possession.  The service unit entered the home at 12:45 a.m., according to First Precinct, after a judge granted a probable cause search warrant. The police found nine decks of heroin, Xanax, marijuana, hypodermic needles, an illegally owned .380-caliber handgun, and other weapons including a bludgeon and slingshot.  The police were given information from residence in the community. The residential community was concerned about possible illegal and dangerous activity in the property in question. Suffolk County Resident Arrested for DWI after leaving the scene of an accident with a fatality

A Ronkonkoma man turned himself into county officials on Wednesday, and offered a plea of not guilty, in relation to leaving the scene of the fatal accident which left a Kings Park man dead, the Suffolk County resident turned himself in to the district attorney’s office, where he was questioned by police and prosecutors and admitted his involvement in the crash that killed a 21yr old.

Moriches Man Charged with Grand Larceny at Walmart

A Man was arrested in Suffolk County in the town of East Setauket and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny. Police said he put 55-inch television in a shopping cart at Walmart in East Setauket and left the store through the garden area.command was probably charged with grand larceny because the item was greater than $1000. If you take an item that is more than thousand dollars you will be charged with grand larceny. Typically if the merchandise is less than $1000 one would be charged with shoplifting also called petit larceny.

Suffolk County Pettit Larceny Arrests in the news

A Commack teen was arrested March 21 and charged with petit larceny. Police said the teen attempted to take clothes from Bob’s Stores in East Northport without paying for the items.

A Commack man, 46, was arrested March 19 and charged with petty larceny and acting in a manner injuring a child under age 17. The man attempted to leave the Baby R’Us on Veterans Highway without paying for a stroller, according to police. A young child was with him at the time of the incident.

Suffolk County West Babylon resident arrested for DWI with children in the motor vehicle

A Suffolk County resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated DWI-with his grandchildren in the motor vehicle.   The police received a 911 telephone call from an individual that the motorist was possibly intoxicated. The motorist had two children in the motor vehicle. The motorist is facing charges of aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, as well as felony charges under Leandra’s law for having minor children and the vehicle while he was driving under the influence.

Suffolk County Driver Arrested for (DWI) Driving While Intoxicated in North Lindenhurst

a Suffolk County driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Lindenhurst after colliding with another vehicle in a head-on collision. The driver was going in the wrong direction. the joint driver was charged with DWI-driving while intoxicated as well as reckless endangerment. Apparently neither driver was injured.

The Suffolk County defendant is expected to appear in the Suffolk County first district court in Central Islip for arraignment. It is unknown if the defendant retained a Suffolk County DWI lawyer at this time. If it is the defendant’s first DWI it is likely that the defendant will be put on probation for 3 years as well as go to jail for anywhere between 30 and 90 days or more and will be pleading to a misdemeanor driving while intoxicated. Suffolk County resident crashes into tree and charged with DWI and Reckless Driving

A Suffolk County resident was arrested for driving while intoxicated after fleeing the police with a passenger in the car.  The driver led police on a chase before crashing on March 3, 2012, according to East Hampton Town police. The driver lost control of the mini-van, hit a tree and caused the airbag to deploy on the driver’s and passenger’s side. Both passenger and driver  got out of the car,  the passenger was injured.
