A Suffolk County resident was recently arrested and charged with first offense DWI, first offense leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and operator leaving the scene of an accident with property damage charges. Reports state the man was involved in two separate accidents on the same day. Police said  the driver was driving southbound on Lake Avenue north of Route 25 when he collided with a 2012 Volkswagen, causing injury to a passenger in the vehicle he struck, and then left the scene of the accident without exchanging information. Police said the man then struck another vehicle on Route 25 east of Astor Avenue, also leaving the scene.
