Suffolk County resident was arrested after leaving the scene of an accident that involved a fatality. The victim was struck while he was crossing the road in Riverhead to join his family at a local restaurant to celebrate the victims 50th  birthday. The Suffolk County resident was held without bail. The Suffolk County resident  had felony and misdemeanor convictions including grand larceny charges and attempted possession of stolen property.
